Rotary Wheels Rally 2026 - Crathes (classic and vintage vehicles)

Unfortunately, due to a prior engagement, the Webmaster was unable to attend this event and so special thanks to club member Sandy Milne for the following reflections of the show.

We had a good day overall with an early start and complimentary tea and bacon roll. The variety of cars was good with an old Humber in immaculate condition winning the older category. Overall winner was a very fine E type coupe. A smattering of MG’s including Midgets, MGB’s, MG TD, modern TF among the variety of vehicles.

There were 3 side stands with Jaguar and some old classics, Minis and also Land Rover / Range Rovers.

The traditional Run to Torphins and Inchmarlo started slightly late, led by a 1929 Austin. There were a few heavy showers, however some of the intrepid residents came out to see the cars.

The weather cleared for a sunny afternoon, with various activities in the centre.

The event was reasonably well attended although as in the past, the weather probably deterred some entrants from coming and hence there were some empty vehicle spaces, however it seemed quite busy overall, and generally a good day.

Special thanks also go to Paul Barlow of PLB Photos who kindly supplied the photos of the MGs below.  To see more pictures of other makes of car at this and many other shows, please click on the link below.
