Kildrummy Rally - June 9th

This years Kildrummy Rally was the 66th and is the oldest Veteran Vintage and Classic Rally in the North East of Scotland.  Brilliantly organised as ever by the Kildrummy Veteran and Vintage Vehicles Club (KVVVC), for the second year running the event was based at the magnificent Kildrummy Estate which is now owned by Christopher and Camille Bentley, who live in what used to be the Hotel.

Around 165 cars entered including 12 Aberdeen MGOC members, with Gordon Brockie and Mike Park acting as members of the judging team.

Since he was last years winner in the post vintage class, Mike Robinson with his magnificent J2 was not allowed to be judged this year, but acted as a judge in the category!

Fortunately the weather stayed dry, but it was fairly cold for June despite the sun occasionally breaking through.

The road run was well attended and featured some classic Aberdeenshire roads out through Tarland, Dinnet and Towie before returning to Kildrummy - some even managed a quick stop at the Tea Room in Tarland for a quick snack!

Many thanks as ever to Paul Barlow of PLB Photos for sharing some of his magnificent pictures which are included below.
