Kildrummy 68th Rally - Sunday June 14th
Hosted once again at the magnificent Kildrummy Estate courtesy of owners Christopher and Camille Bentley, the 68th Kildrummy Rally attracted 170 entries, including 14 members - some of whom had only returned from the Shetland trip the day before.
The event is the oldest veteran, vintage and classic rally in the North of Scotland and was, as always, brilliantly organised by the KVVVC. An enormous amount of work goes into setting up this type of event and KVVVC pulled out all the stops with many banners and flags on display and the route in and out of the field all laid out.
Generously, each entrant was given a gift of a souvenir Kildrummy Rally themed item such as a flask or water bottle.
As usual, the organisers had included a short road run of around 36.5 miles at lunchtime for those wishing to participate. The circuitous route took us towards Alford, Muir of Fowlis, Craigevar Castle, Tarland, Glenkindie and back to Kildrummy Castle.
Brilliant photographer Paul Barlow was once again there to capture much of the action - his photos can be found at the link below.
Finally, congratulations to Club member Archie Nicol who won the best MG award with his fabulous MGC GT.
