Blast from the Past – 22 July

Organised once again by Alan Wallace of AW Autotech fame and his team, this charity automotive extravaganza took place at the brilliant Thainstone Centre in Inverurie on Saturday 22nd July. 

The event was oversubscribed and hence every available space outside was occupied by a wide variety of cars and trade stands, with motorcycles and further trade stands inside the large hall. The event also featured a number of demonstrations and an Autotest on the large tarmac car park – the drifters and rally cars managing to fill the air with clouds of acrid tyre smoke every time they appeared!   

As in previous years, we met at Marshals Farm Shop and drove in convoy to the venue where we had a Club stand featuring around a dozen members cars, all glinting in the sunshine having been polished in preparation.

It was good to catch up with all the local car nuts so definitely another firm favourite on the calendar.
