Rotary Wheels Rally - Crathes - May 26th

Always a highlight on the annual calendar, this years Rotary Wheels Rally at Crathes was sadly marred by persistent rain for most of the day.   This fun family event attracts lots of classic and vintage car and motorcycle entrants and this year was no exception, however on the day there were lots of empty spaces on the field as many decided not to come.  This is such a shame as an enormous amount of work goes into organising and running these events and Crathes is one of the best, with all the rows for the cars clearly laid out and roped off on the field.

As well as the exhibits, Crathes boasts excellent traders stalls and lots of family entertainment. Set in beautiful surroundings alongside the Victorian station of the Deeside Railway and the River Dee, the Rotary Wheels Rally brings motoring heritage to life!

Despite the weather, many club members attended and made the most of it - with many undertaking the traditional road run.  Bravery award must go to Mike Park and Gordon Brockie who set sail in the MGB in the rain!!

Congratulations to the organisers for carrying on with the event, despite the weather.
